From Bangkok
The distance from Bangkok to Krabi is approximately 950 kms. or about 12 hours by car.
Route 1: Petchburi-Prachab Khiri Khan-Chumporn-Phang Nga-Krabi. Distance: 946 kms.
Route 2: From Bangkok, take Highway No.4, drive south past the provinces of Petchburi, Prachuab Khiri Khan and Chumporn. Then from Chumporn take Highway No.41 past the districts of Lang Suan and Chai Ya. Once you reach Surat Thani, go in the direction of Viangsra District, then take Highway No. 4035 until the district Ao Luek and finally join Highway No.4 again. Distance: 814 kms.

From Phuket
The distance from Phuket to Krabi is 176 kms. Take Highway No. 402 and No.4.

BY AIR-CONDITIONED BUS
From Bangkok
Daily bus services are available departing from the Southern Bus Terminal (Tel: 02-434-7192, 02-434-7862) in Boromratchchonnani Road in Thonburi. The trip takes about 12 hours. The distance is 817 kms. The fare is about Baht 710. The schedules are 6pm and 6.30pm.

From Phuket
The trip from Phuket to Krabi takes at least three to four hours. There are buses that leave from Phuket daily.

By Sea
From Krabi
          Visitors can travel from Krabi to Koh Lanta via a ferry during high season (November to April). The ferry departs from Klong Chi Lard Pier, which is about five kilometers from downtown Krabi. The ferry departs at 11am and arrives at Saladan Pier on Koh Lanta at 1pm. The return trip to Krabi is at 8am. The ferry doesn’t operate during the low season (May to October).

From Phuket
      There are no direct regular ferries from Phuket to Krabi but it’s possible for you to charter a boat. The trip is about three hours but it’s recommended to avoid it during the rainy season because of the unexpected weather change. To take a ferry, you can hop to Koh Phi Phi first and then catch another ferry from Phi Phi to Koh Lanta.

From Koh Phi Phi
       The ferry time from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta is about two hours. There are two ferries per day from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta. They both leave at 1pm.
